The Al-Khoei Foundation held an interfaith reception in honour of the incoming interfaith adviser to the Archbishop of Canterbury Revd. Richard Sudworth, and the outgoing advisor, Revd. Mark Poulson. This reception recognised and appreciated their role and contribution to enhancement of interfaith.

Mehri Niknam was invited to speak on behalf of the Foundation. In her talk she welcomed the Revd. Richard Sudworth and emphasised the importance of continuing the Foundation’s good relationship with the office of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

She added: “In our relationship with the Shi’a community, we have had the partnership of the Al-Khoei Foundation for decades and my personal close friendship with them extends for over 30 years. During all that time, they have proved to be an honest, truthful and dependable interfaith partner who is forward looking and ready to engage while remaining faithful to its fundamental religious principles.”

The co-operation with the Al-Khoei Foundation and the Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury is ongoing.
