Joint seminar with Isoc at London School of Economics

Following the continued cooperation between the Foundation and Isoc at LSE, The Foundation in association with the Islamic Society of London School of Economics held a very successful seminar during the National Interfaith Week at LSE. The topic of the seminar was: comparative narratives of Abraham and Isaac in the Bible and Ibrahim and Isma’il in the Qur’an”.

Over 50 students attended the seminar which lasted for over two hours. The Q & A session was concentrated on the similarities and differences in the two holy texts and how they are interpreted by their respective classical sources. There was much discussion on how we can use the stories to move forward our Muslim-Jewish relations today.

The overwhelming majority of the students expressed their interest to hold such future seminars with the Foundation.
