Jewish-Muslim Youth Leadership

The Foundation is committed to creating encounters and educational programmes for the young people. We believe that such meeting between young people of both faiths will allow them to discuss and share their feelings and challenges that they face by growing up in their respective religions while remaining respectful of other religions. What does it mean to be socially aware but continue to remain an active citizen contributing to a multi-faith and democratic society?

In December 2006, the Foundation organised an evening of meeting and discussion between young Jewish and Muslim students. The Muslim students came from a Muslim secondary school in North London, and the Jewish students were from RSY-Netzer, the youth Movement for Reform Judaism.

The evening consisted of a series of workshops that looked at religious prejudices in our society and analysis of stereotyping.
